Week 2: Wednesday Roundup

Sometimes swinging as hard as you can at every pitch you see totally pays off.
STUDS: Javier Baez (FF) blasted 2 homers for the second consecutive game. In this one, he scored 3 runs, drove in 4, stole a base and walked. That's 20.5 points in the past 2 days. Yasmani Grandal (FF) was a triple short of a cycle and drove in 2. Paul Goldschmidt (CB) homered, doubled and drove in 3. Kris Bryant (CB) went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 RBIs and a run. Nice day for Ray's first two draft picks.

DUDS: Alex Wood (PYB) got smacked around by Oakland, allowing 7 runs and fanning 5 in a 3.2-inning loss. Legendarily brittle Brandon McCarthy (BM) scored 7 points but earned a spot on this list by dislocating his shoulder catching a throw while covering first base. Seriously. Nolan Arenado (PM) went 0 for 1 with a strikeout and got ejected after charging the mound. The ball didn't even hit you, Nolan. Get a grip. Brian Anderson (FDD) went 0 for 3 with an error. Lewis Brinson (CB) went 0 for 3 with 2 Ks and an error. Jay Bruce (R) went 0 for 2 and was caught stealing. Chris Taylor (FDD) wnt 1 for 5 with an error.
