Week 6: Friday Roundup

STUDS

  • Kevin Gausman (AL) struck out 12 and allowed 1 run in an 8-inning no-decision.
  • Clayton Kershaw (TIN) allowed 5 runs, but struck out 11 in 6 innings to earn the win.
  • Rhys Hoskins (BOPP) had a double, 2 singles, a run and 3 RBIs.
  • Trea Turner (BOPP) homered, doubled and drove in 3.
  • Kyle Schwarber (BOPP) had a homer, 2 singles, 2 walks, 2 runs and 2 RBIs.
  • Adam Frazier (LCL) was a homer shy of a cycle, adding a second single, 2 runs and an RBI.
  • Josh Bell (M) had a single, double, walk, 2 runs and 3 RBIs.
  • Garrett Hampson (SCC) was a double shy of a cycle, adding a walk and 2 runs. 
  • Max Scherzer (SCC) struck out 7 in 5 shutout innings for the win.

DUDS

  • Wade Miley (BOPP) pitched like the real Wade Miley, allowing 8 runs and striking out 5 in a 3-inning loss.
  • Brigadier General Dansby Swanson (R) had a walk, an RBI and an error.
  • Josh Rojas (R) singled and erred.

Week 6: Thursday Roundup

Doesn't it just chap you when the Cardinals have good pitchers?

STUDS

  • Trevor Rogers (TIN) struck out 7 and allowed 1 run in a 6-inning win.
  • Jack Flaherty (JVC) improved to 7-0, striking out 6 in 6 shutout innings.
  • Patrick Corbin (CB) struck out 9 and allowed 1 run in a 7-inning win. 
  • Anthony DeSclafani (PM) struck out 5 in 5 shutout innings to earn the win. The commishes have a hard time awarding Stud status to a starter going 5 innings, especially when he's a Giant. 

DUDS

  • Will Smith (AL), who may in fact not be any good anymore, allowed 4 runs and took the loss in 0.1 innings.

  • Harrison Bader (JVC) had 2 singles, a caught stealing and an error.
  • Brad Hand (LCL) struck out the side, but allowed 2 runs to blow the save and take the loss in an inning.
  • Jean Segura (M) singled and erred.

  • Manny Machado (BOPP) had a homer, triple, walk, 2 runs and 5 RBIs.
  • Freddy Peralta (BOPP) struck out 8 in 7 shutout innings in a no-decision.
  • Logan Webb (BOPP) had 10 strikeouts and allowed a run in a 6-inning win.
  • Alex Reyes (JVC) struck out 5 in 2 shutout innings for a vulture win.
  • Asdrubal Cabrera (LCL) was #tripleshy, adding a second single and 3 RBIs.
  • Gavin Lux (PM) homered, singled, scored twice and drove in 3.
  • Jesse Winker (PM) had a homer, 2 doubles and 2 RBIs.

DUDS

  • Mike Tauchman (AL) walked 3 times and scored... and was also caught stealing and erred. Quite a day, Mike.
  • Pablo Lopez (TIN) allowed 6 earned runs and struck out 3 in a 4.1-inning loss.
