How long has it been since they tested Ryan Braun? |
1. Fresh Fish (3,340 points, last week 1): The Fish rode a 213-point week to a first-round victory despite a tough challenge from the Arbitration Losers. You might not have expected Tom Koehler (29) and Howie Kendrick (26) to be the ones leading the charge, though.
2. Hundley Eyes (3,262 points, last week 2): Sad performances from too many key players leave the Eyes in an 18-point hole going into the second week of their matchup with the Fightin' Zevons. Thanks for your help, James Loney (4), Noah Syndergaard (5), Marcell Ozuna (6) and Ben Zobrist (8).
3. Lawyers, Guns & Money (3,244 points, last week 3): Sure, LGM got big weeks from John Lackey (30) and Julio Urias (22) to take the lead over the commissioners, but the price was awfully high: Giancarlo Stanton is out for the season (again).
4. Arbitration Losers (3,209 points, last week 5): How cruel can FBLG be? Tim's team put up 195 points and still got eliminated from the playoffs. The Losers had to win both weeks against the top-seeded Fish to advance. Ryan Braun (31) and Joey Votto (30) sure did their part.
5. Rookies (3,185 points, last week 4): Henry's team takes a 1-point lead into the second week of its matchup against The Lumbar Yard. Eugenio Suarez (21) and Chris Carter (20) were good; Stephen Strasburg (3) and Jonathan Villar (5) were bad.
6. Pitch You Blockhead (3,172 points, last week 5): Scott's team trails the Misfits by 5, so we have another matchup that could go down to the wire. Zack Cozart (17) was the team's leading scorer, which should never be the case. Wilson Ramos (6) and Wil Myers (9) picked the wrong time to cool off.

For posting a 0, batting .189 this season and once looking like this, Derek Norris is our Dud of the Week. |
7. The Lumbar Yard (3,159 points, last week 7): Adam Wainwright and Jake Lamb combined for -5 points. Bryce Harper played once and scored 5 points. Trea Turner and Chris Owings scored 25 points each. We have no idea what all of this means.
8. Misfits (3,078 points, last week 8): Brandon Moss (23) and Seung-Hwan Oh (20) helped the Misfits take the lead against PYB despite the struggles of Derek Norris (0) and Daniel Descalso (6). Max Scherzer, Scott Kazmir and Matt Moore could be in line for double starts this week, too.
9. Retire 21 (3,077 points, last week 9): Ray's bunch picked a perfect time to erupt for a 202-point week, didn't they? Freddie Freeman (33) and Steven Matz (33) tore it up, and new addition Jaime Garcia (16) looked darn good.
10. Goldschmidt Happens (2,839 points, last week 10): Charlie Blackmon scored 48 points. Forty-eight! And only 2 of those games were at Coors Field! In typical Rockies fashion, though, Colorado went 1-6 this week. Oh, also, Gerrit Cole (-1), Vincent Velasquez (-1) and Miguel Montero (0) were terrible.
