Week 8 report

Thanks to a cheap win from the VC Appraisers (8th best scoring total for week), there is a four-way tie for first place in the head-to-head standings at 5-3. Then there's a four-way tie for fifth place at 4-4. WWJB, which started the season 3-0, snapped a four-game losing streak to even its mark at 4-4. And the Pickle Bugs dropped their seventh in a row.

In the overall standings, the Chico's Chuggers continue to set the pace. The Gladstone Goatwhisperers are moving up the standings as other frontrunners stumble a bit. Yet the overall standings remain tight with a 74-point spread between first and seventh place. Former leader Fresh Fish has slipped all the way to sixth, as they try to hang on until the Ramirez brothers return in July.

And as owners were dealing with late-May injuries, the waiver wire was busy. Two owners, the Fresh Fish and Boondock Saints, both burned two of their three June moves on the first day of June.
