Friday was Opening Day, Part III in the National League.
And it was a big day for the Rookies (Henry). Apparently, the Padres confused Chad Billingsley with Walter Johnson. Billingsley fanned 11 Pads in eight shutout innings, tallying a whopping 24-point day that nearly doubled the Rookies' output.
Yet it was Pete's Yet Unnamed Team that leads the way, thanks to pitching wins from Ian Kennedy and Jamie Garcia leading to a 43-point Friday.
On the other end of the spectrum is Pitch You Blockhead (Scott), whose total team score is nine points few than Chad Billingsley's. The good news is that PYB is playing the Triple-A's in head-to-head, the second lowest-scoring team so far (22 points).
Saturday and Sunday are full-slate days in the NL, so we should really see some good movement in scoring.
