Playoffs Week 2: Friday's report

Nathan Eovaldi allowed 11 runs, but at least only 9 of them
were earned.
STUDS: Jon Niese (Misfits) was the only pitcher to make a mark in the plus column on a remarkable day for hitters. Niese scored a run and struck out 9 while allowing 1 run in a 6-inning win. It was a great day for Giants hitters for a change. Hunter Pence (Braun) tripled, doubled twice, scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Brandon Belt (SSS) tripled, doubled, singled twice, scored 4 runs and drove in 1. Pablo Sandoval (PYB) had a double, 3 singles, 3 RBIs and a run. Alfonso Soriano (Rookies) continued his remarkable run with a 3-run homer, an RBI single, a plain-old single, 2 runs and a steal. Jonathan Lucroy (AL) hit the game-winning 2-run homer, singled twice, drove in 3 and scored twice. Jean Segura (Gonzo) tripled, singled twice, stole a base, scored twice and drove in a run. Todd Frazier (Fish) had a solo homer, a 2-run single and a 1-run single.

DUDS: Nathan Eovaldi (LGM) singled, scored and struck out 3 in 3 innings. (WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT) He also took the loss and allowed 12 hits, 1 walk and 11 runs. Aroldis Chapman (AL) allowed a 2-run homer and took the loss without getting an out.
