Week 16: The Check Swing

At the end of a short all-star week, we bring you a short edition of the Check Swing.

1. E-3 (2,751 points, 10-6, last week 1): Still first in points and tied for first in the standings. Just counting down the weeks until the playoffs.

2. Danger Zaun (2,728 points, 6-10, last week 2): Loss drops DZ into sole possession of last place in the standings. DZ could conceivably finish first overall in points and miss the playoffs.

3. Fresh Fish (2,703 points, 7-9, last week 3): FF is one of four teams tied for sixth place in the standings but has the tiebreaker edge over all of them because of its point total.

Is that Jose Altuve or Alexi Amarista?
4. Arbitration Losers (2,619 points, 9-7, last week 7): A 112-point week helps AL vault three teams in the points race, and the team is only one game back of the lead in the standings.

5. Ryan's Rangers (2,616 points, 9-7, last week 4): Bill's team probably hoped no one would notice its 29-point performance in the short week. Nice try, Rangers.

6. Tanana in the Tailpipe (2,607 points, 7-9, last week 6): We're still waiting for the offense to catch up to the strong starting pitching for the Sons of Tanana.

7. Pitch You Blockhead (2,585 points, 10-6, last week 5): Seventh in the points but tied for the lead in the standings? It's been that kid of season in FBLG.

8. Rocky Mountain High (2,546 points, 8-8, last week 8): RMH would have lost to any other team in FBLG this week but was fortunate to be playing Ryan's Rangers.

9. Misfits (2,475 points, 7-9, last week 9): It's not too late for the Misfits to make a charge, and that 113-point week certainly helps.

10. Rookies (2,454 points, 7-9, last week 10): The Rookies drubbed DZ and still have a chance to slip into the playoffs with two weeks to go.
