Phillies fans are working hard to stave off boredom. |
1. Already Zaun (10-2, 2,176 points, last week 2): The Zaunies defeated R21 and managed to take the points lead at the same time. Credit the rotation, which posted scores of 14, 16, 16, 16 and 19 in its five chances. Next up is a duel with PYB.
2. Pitch You Blockhead (10-2, 2,167 points, last week 3): Nolan Arenado broke out with a 41-point week and is tied for third in FBLG in scoring. He's behind Max Scherzer and Paul Goldschmidt and is tied with Gerrit Cole. Next up is a battle with Already Zaun.
3. Retire 21 (9-3, 2,164 points, last week 1): Will the return of Jose Fernandez be enough to get the Clementes back to the top of the heap in FBLG? A rotation of Kershaw-deGrom-Fernandez-anyone looks terrifying.
4. Arbitration Losers (6-6, 2,012 points, last week 7): Tim's team cracked the 200-point barrier thanks to 45 points from Madison Bumgarner and 32 from Buster Posey. Unfortunately, Anthony Rendon became the fifth ALer on the disabled list.
5. Soler Eclipse (5-7, 1,992 points, last week 4): A dreadful week for Adam's team included 7 players scoring in single digits. Is Matt Harvey back to pitching like the Matt Harvey we're used to seeing?
6. Chateau Marmol (7-5, 1,989 points, last week 5): Max Scherzer, Brett Anderson and Jaime Garcia pitched well, and Jason Heyward showed signs of life. Too bad Yasmani Grandal reverted to his April form.
7. The Bryce is Right (3-9, 1,965 points, last week 6): It was a weird week for Team Bill, with Matt Duffy scoring 34 points and the trio of Gerrit Cole (2), Julio Teheran (3) and Jeff Locke (2) being outscored singlehandedly by Chad Bettis (11).
8. Misfits (4-8, 1,900 points, last week 8): Adam Wainwright, Giancarlo Stanton, Devin Mesoraco and Daniel Murphy are anchoring the disabled list. This is not what Reid had in mind when he drafted this team.
9. Rookies (5-7, 1,884 points, last week 9): Henry got only three starts thanks to the weather canceling an outing by Gio Gonzalez. Also, what the heck happened to Andrelton Simmons after his hot start?
10. Fresh Fish (1-11, 1,766 points, last week 10): So, Rick... Whom do you plan to take with the No. 1 overall pick next year and doom to a season on the disabled list?
