Week 11: Saturday roundup

So remember last weekend when Max Scherzer almost threw a no-hitter? Well...
Studs: Max Scherzer (CM) no-hit the Pirates, struck out 10 and singled. He would have had a perfect game if not for the shenanigans of Jose Tabata, who was "hit by a pitch" with 2 out in the 9th inning. In his past 18 innings, Scherzer has allowed 1 hit and struck out 26 batters — while getting 2 hits himself. Tyson Ross (AZ) struck out 9 and allowed 1 run in a complete-game win. He also had an RBI triple and scored. It's a weird day when a 27-point outing makes you the No. 2 Stud. Randal Grichuk (AZ) hit a 3-run homer, a solo homer and a double. He scored 3 runs. John Lackey (SE) doubled and fanned 3 while allowing 1 run in a 7-inning win. A.J. Pierzynski (Misfits) scored 3 runs and was a homer short of a cycle. Jason Heyward (CM) doubled, singled twice, stole a base, drove in 2 and scored. Charlie Blackmon (AL) hit a 2-run homer and an RBI single. He also stole a base.

Duds: All of the Pirates hitters posted zeros. Juan Lagares (AL) went 0 for 4 with an error.
