Studs: Brandon Belt (M) was a homer short of a cycle, drove in 5 and scored twice. Hunter Pence (FF) tripled, singled twice, drove in 2 and scored twice. Matt Duffy (AL) tripled, singled twice and scored 3 runs. Jeff Samardzija (PYB) allowed 5 runs in a 5.2-inning win, but he had an RBI single and struck out 7. Stephen Piscotty (HE) went 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs, a run and a steal. Aledmys Diaz (M) homered, singled, drove in 2 and scored 3 runs. Matt Harvey (M) struck out 7 and allowed 2 runs in a 6-inning win. Nolan Arenado (PYB) was a triple short of a cycle and scored twice.
Duds: Patrick Corbin (HE) walked 5 and allowed 7 runs while fanning 2 in a 5.2-inning loss.
