Studs: Bryce Harper (LY) hit a 3-run homer, singled and stole a base. Tyler Thornburg (GH) struck out 2 in 2 shutout innings and got the win. Noah Syndergaard (HE) got the win and struck out 6 in 8 shutout innings. D.J. LeMahieu (AL) homered, singled twice and scored 3 runs. Nolan Arenado (PYB) hit a pair of 3-run homers and singled twice. Addison Russell (LGM) homered twice. Julio Urias (LGM) got the win and fanned 6 in 6 shutout innings.
Duds: Jason Hammel (FF) got knocked around at Coors Field (see Arenado, Nolan), allowing 10 hits and 10 runs — 6 earned — while striking out 2 in a 3.1-inning loss. Martin Prado (FF) went 0 for 5 with an RBI groundout and made 2 errors. Willson Contreras (LY) went 0 for 4 with an error. Trea Turner (LY) went 0 for 4 with a run and an error.
