STUDS: Josh Donaldson (CB) finally picked up his first RBI of the season. He homered, doubled, scored 3 runs and walked twice. Javier Baez (AL) smacked 3 doubles and drove in 2. Madison Bumgarner (AL) struck out 7 and allowed 2 runs in a 7-inning win. Caleb Smith (WLB) earned a win and allowed only 1 hit while striking out 6 Phillies in 6 shutout innings. Nick Markakis (HG) homered, doubled, scored twice, drove in 2 and walked.
DUDS: Sean Newcomb (M) was somehow only the second-worst starter in his matchup with Jason Vargas. Newcomb served up 4 runs in 1.1 strikeout-free innings, which is 1 full inning longer than Vargas. Zach Eflin (CB) thought he was Nick Pivetta, allowing 6 runs and striking out 4 in a 4-inning loss.
