Late news you'll need for draft day

Here's some late info you may be interested in ....


RP Drew Storen of the Nationals will open the season on the DL. Brad Lidge is expected to fill in. Storen should be ready by mid-to-late April

SP Ted Lilly of the Dodgers will open the season on the DL. He's aiming to make first start on April 15.

SS Jed Lowrie (thumb) of the Astros may open the season on the DL. If he does, he's likely only to miss the first week.

OF Corey Hart of the Brewers. No decision on starting on DL. Word won't come until after THIS weekend. If he does open on DL, it won't be for more than a week.

OF Mike Morse of the Nationals will open the season on the DL. Expected to be ready to play by April 11 or so.

3B Jimmy Paredes of the Astros was sent to the minors. Chris Johnson will start at 3B.

3B Casey Blake was released by the Rockies, opening a spots for Chris Nelson or Jordan Pacheco.

SP Livan Hernandez was cut by the Astros, then signed by the Braves. If you were thinking of drafting him, you are Livan on the edge.
