Seriously, call Kenny Loggins 'cause you're in the... |
My apologies for the brief Check Swing this week. It was a bit of a rough weekend in Las Vegas (and not in a good way). I hope to resume the series' awesomeness next weekend.
1. E-3 (1,935 points, 7-4, last week 2): Forty-two points from Andrew McCutchen? No wonder Adam's team put up 205 points to take over the top spot.
2. Ryan's Rangers (1,912 points, 7-4, last week 1): Bill's team posted only 93 points, and 14 of them came from Matt Adams — who was on the DL until Friday.
3. Danger Zaun (1,890 points, 4-7, last week 4t): The offense finally came through for these guys, who might be able to claw their way into the postseason after all.
4. Fresh Fish (1,861 points, 4-7, last week 3): It's Danny Espinosa time again at second base for Rick's team. Can Craig Counsell be far behind?
5. Tanana in the Tailpipe (1,855 points, 6-5, last week 6): Now Christian Yelich is hurt? Do we need to quarantine Matt's locker room to keep this from spreading?
6. Pitch You Blockhead (1,846 points, 7-4, last week 4t): Last week, we praised the rotation. This week, it posted 27 points in 6 starts.
7. Rocky Mountain High (1,826 points, 5-6, last week 8): Yasiel Puig was Jon's only player who failed to reach double digits in a tough loss to E-3.
8. Arbitration Losers (1,770 points, 5-6, last week 7): Emilio Bonifacio to the rescue at second base! Oh, he's on the DL too now? Never mind.
9. Rookies (1,749 points, 5-6, last week 9t): Thirty points from Evan Gattis? There are catchers in FBLG who haven't scored that many points since April.
10. Misfits (1,728 points, 5-6, last week 9t): Reid's team scratched out a victory despite Michael Wacha and Sergio Romo combining to score minus-10.
