Studs: Cole Hamels (Misfits) singled and fanned 9 while allowing 1 run in a 7-inning victory. Jason Hammel (PYB) struck out 7 and got the win in 8 shutout innings. James Shields (PYB) singled, scored, struck out 12 and allowed 1 earned run in 6 innings. Joc Pederson (PYB) had a solo homer and an RBI double and scored twice.
Duds: Jimmy Nelson (PYB) gave up 7 runs in a 2.1-inning loss. Doug Fister (FF) gave up 4 runs and 10 hits in a 5.2-inning loss — and in true Nationals fashion, he made 2 errors. Steve Cishek (CM) served up a 3-run homer and took the loss. Ian Desmond (CM) is up to 9 errors this season. Bryce Harper (Bryce) scored a run and made an error. Tim Lincecum (R21) gave up 4 runs and fanned 2 in a 4-inning loss. Derek Norris (SE) singled, made a throwing error and failed to throw out George Springer stealing all 3 times he tried.
