Studs: Jon Lester (Misfits) struck out 8 and allowed 2 runs in a 7-inning win. Gio Gonzalez (AL) allowed 1 run and struck out 7 in 7 innings for the win.

Duds: It was a rough day for All-Star-caliber infielders. Jean Segura (HE) had a less-than-sparkling debut for his new FBLG team, going 0-for-5 with 3 Ks and an error. Corey Seager (LY) went 0-for-4 with an error. Brandon Crawford (AL) went 0-for-3 with an error. Nolan Arenado (PYB) scored a run and made an error. Eduardo Nunez (LGM) continued his horrid NL debut, going 0-for-3 and getting caught stealing. 

Transaction: Retire 21 activates 3B Matt Carpenter from DL, benches OF Keon Broxton.
