Studs: Jacob deGrom (PYB) singled twice, scored twice, got the win and struck out 8 in 7 shutout innings. Jon Gray (HE) got the win and struck out 6 in 5 shutout innings at Coors Field. Maikel Franco (HE) went 4 for 4 with a double, a homer, 4 RBIs and 3 runs. Dexter Fowler (R21) stole a base, tripled, singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run. Joey Votto (AL) went 4 for 4 with a double, an RBI and 2 runs. Brandon Crawford (AL) hit a solo homer, had a 2-run single and scored twice. Carlos Gonzalez (LGM) doubled twice, singled and drove in 4. Cesar Hernandez (GH) went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 runs. Brandon Belt (M) hit a 3-run homer and singled twice. Brandon Moss (M) was a triple short of a cycle and scored twice.
Duds: Seung-Hwan Oh (M) worked his way out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the 8th inning, but in the 9th he allowed a game-losing 3-run homer to Scott Schebler. Brandon McCarthy (R21) allowed 3 runs and struck out 2 in a 3-inning loss. James Shields (LGM) served up 6 runs and fanned 1 in a 5-inning loss. Eduardo Nunez (LGM) went 0 for 4 with an error.
