Studs: Paul Goldschmidt (AL) homered twice and drove in 3. Nolan Arenado (PYB) homered, doubled, scored twice and drove in 3. Jeff Samardzija (PYB) finally earned his first win, striking out 8 and allowing 3 runs in 6.2 innings. Michael Conforto (PM) was a single shy of the cycle, walked, drove in 3 and scored 4 runs. Tony Watson (R) pitched 2 scoreless innings with 2 strikeouts to earn the win. Adam Wainwright (FF) struck out 3 in 7 shutout innings for the win. Yadier Molina (M) homered twice and drove in 3. Bryce Harper (LGM) singled 3 times, doubled, homered and drove in 3 in a doubleheader.

Duds: Scott Schebler (CB) made an error. Cesar Hernandez (PM) singled, walked and made an error. Francisco Cervelli (BM) walked and was caught stealing. Wily Peralta (M) allowed 6 runs and struck out 1 in 4.1 innings. Julio Urias (M) struck out 1 and allowed 6 runs in a 4-inning loss.
