Week 3: Wednesday Roundup

Couldn't pass up a chance to honor the Braves' Ian Anderson by posting a picture of his namesake,
and Deka's favorite musician of all time.

STUDS

  • Trevor Rogers (TIN) struck out 8 in 7 shutout innings, and the Marlins bullpen actually made it hold up for the win.
  • Ian Anderson (R) struck out 4 in 6.2 innings for the win.
  • Tyler Mahle (R) struck out 9 in 6.2 innings for a no-decision.
  • Javy Baez (M) hit a grand slam and scored 3 runs, also flying out to deep left-center while batting left-handed.
  • Max Scherzer (SCC) struck out 9 in 6 shutout innings for the win.
  • Phillip Evans (JVC) - that's right, there's a Pirate on this list - homered, singled twice, scored twice and stole a base in a doubleheader.

DUDS 

  • Amir Garrett (CB) allowed 3 runs and struck out 1 in 0.2 innings to blow the save.
  • Michael Conforto AL) - no, not a Beaver on this list! - walked and erred.
  • James McCann (R) - another Met, whaaaaaaaaaat - singled, walked and erred.
