Week 4: Sunday Roundup

AJ Pollock had quite a day on Reid's bench Sunday.

STUDS

  • Chris Taylor (TIN) had 3 singles, a walk, and scored 5 runs, the most for a Dodgers player since Shawn Green's legendary 4-homer game in 2001.
  • Max Scherzer (SCC) shut down the Marlins' double-A team, striking out 9 and allowing 1 run in a complete game win. Seriously, look at that lineup.
  • Kevin Gausman (AL) continued his infuriating success, striking out 6 and allowed 1 run in a 6-inning win.
  • Kris Bryant (M) homered twice, doubled and drove in 3. And erred.
  • Julio Urias (M) struck out 10 and allowed 1 run in a 7-inning win.
  • Nick Castellanos (JVC) homered twice, singled 3 times, scored 4 runs and drove in 4.

DUDS

  • Eduardo Escobar (TIN) lived up to his initials with a pair of E's, adding an RBI double.
  • Edwin Diaz (TIN) gave up 3 runs and struck out 1 in 0.2 innings before leaving with an injury.
  • Craig Kimbrel (R) took the loss without getting any outs or allowing any earned runs.
  • Daniel Bard (PM) allowed 4 runs in 0.1 innings to take the loss.
  • Tejay Antone (LCL) allowed 4 runs in 1.1 innings, striking out 1 and blowing a save.
