Week 26: Tuesday's report

Something tells me a good portion of the nation is about to be introduced
to Gerrit Cole as the Buccos enter the postseason next week.
Spoiler alert: he's pretty good.
STUDS: Hyun-jin Ryu (LGM) shut down the Giants, allowing 1 run and striking out 6 in a 7-inning win and adding a single at the plate. David DeJesus (Gonzo) doubled twice and had 2 RBIs, and it came against hte Yankees, so everyone can be happy about that. Craig Kimbrel (LGM) struck out 3 in a shutout inning to earn a vulture win. Michael Cuddyer (Muumuu) had a single, double, run and 2 RBIs. Pedro Alvarez (LGM) doubled twice and drove in 3 runs. Wade Miley (Arb. Losers) struck out 7 in 6 shutout innings in a no-decision. Jon Niese (Misfits) struck out 6 in 7 innings and singled and scored a run. Gerrit Cole (PYB) continued his torrid run to end the season, striking out 6 and allowing 2 runs in a 6-inning win and adding a 2-run single.

DUDS: The Nationals. Michael Wacha (Test. Braun's bench) came within inches of throwing a no-hitter against them, leading to zeroes for everyone but Ryan Zimmerman and his 65-foot single with 2 outs in the 9th inning. A hearty boo to Mr. Zimmerman for ruining a no-hitter with THAT.
