Playoffs Week 2: Monday's Roundup

We hope you saw "Mike's" second homer yesterday.
Poor Shelby Miller suffered baseball's version of posterization.
Studs: Yovani Gallardo (E-3) allowed 1 run and struck out 6 in a 7-inning win. Jon Niese (Tanana) did basically the same, allowing 1 more run but adding a hit at the plate to even it out. Christian Yelich (Tanana) had 2 singles, a double, 2 runs and a steal. Giancarlo Stanton (FF) hit a pair of homers and drove in 3 runs. Matt Holliday (AL) was 4 for 4 with a pair of doubles.

Duds: A dud-free day, so we'll laugh at Lucas Duda (Misfits) for striking out 3 times, including twice against Phillies non-impact starter David Buchanan. We'll also chuckle at free agent Jeff Locke, whose 5-inning, 4-run, 1-K win would have been worth 7 points. That's the lowest point total we've seen for a win this year. It's a wonder Locke doesn't have an FBLG clubhouse to call home.

First-round matchups

Fresh Fish 38, E-3 22 (winner advances)
Misfits 22 (199), Pitch You Blockhead 16 (164) (top 2-week total advances)
Tanana in the Tailpipe 34 (208), Arbitration Losers 29 (176) (top 2-week total advances)

Just collecting points

Ryan's Rangers 13
Rookies 9
Rocky Mountain High 14
Danger Zaun 12
