Week 21, semifinals: Thursday roundup

Mr. and Mrs. Cole: that's G-A-R-R-E-T-T. We wonder if Gerrit Cole and Garret Anderson are part of a support group.
Studs: Gerrit Cole (Bryce), who clearly doesn't mind that his parents don't know how to spell "Garrett," improved to 15-7 by striking out 4 and allowing 1 run in 7.1 innings. Joe Ross (CM), who clearly isn't as afraid of the strike zone as his big brother, struck out 7 and allowed 1 run in a 7-inning win. Madison Bumgarner (AL), who clearly doesn't mind being named after an adult film star, struck out 12 in a 6-inning win, allowing an earned run and adding a single. Zach Greinke (PYB), who clearly is the most successful person ever to have a mullet, tossed 7 shutout innings and struck out 9 to earn the win.

Duds: Freddy Galvis (Rookies), apparently competing for the Ian Desmond "Dr. StrangeGlove" Trophy, made another error. That's three in two days for the tiny Phillie. Wilson Ramos (Bryce) singled and made an error. Kyle Schwarber (AZ) threw one in the general vicinity of second base for an error. Brandon Phillips (FF) was 0-4 with an error.
