Studs: Clayton Kershaw (FF) struck out 13 Giants and allowed 2 runs in an 8-inning win. He improved to 9-1, but his ERA shot up to 1.52. Stephen Strasburg (R) improved to 10-0 by striking out 10 and allowing 4 runs in a 7-inning win. Matt Carpenter (R21) hit a 3-run homer, singled and scored twice. Wil Myers (PYB) had a sac fly, stole a base and hit the game-winning 3-run homer. Christian Yelich (R) had a 2-run double, a triple and 2 runs. Daniel Murphy (LY) doubled twice, drove in 3 and scored.
Duds: Santiago Casilla (R21) took the loss by allowing a Justin Turner homer, but he did strike out a batter in his inning of work. Addison Russell (LGM) went 0 for 3 with an error. Jung-Ho Kang (LY) went 1 for 5 with an error. Charlie Blackmon (GH) went 0 for 4 and was caught stealing.
