Studs: Jameson Taillon (CB) was the feel-good story of the day, striking out 5 in 5 shutout innings to win in his return from cancer treatment. Trea Turner (Q) homered, singled twice, scored twice and drove in 2. Jay Bruce (AL) was a triple shy of the cycle and drove in 2. Jacob deGrom (PYB) allowed 1 run and struck out 6 in a complete game win. Michael Taylor (M) had 2 doubles, a single, 2 runs and an RBI. Austin Hedges (FF) had 2 singles, a double, a run and 3 RBIs. Matt Adams (CB) homered twice, singled, walked, scored 3 runs and drove in 4.
Duds: Mike Foltynewicz (Q) managed to score -4.7 without taking the loss, which is damn impressive. He allowed 8 runs on approximately 58 hits and struck out no one in 3.1 innings. John Lackey (LGM) and his big stupid horse face took the loss, allowing 4 runs and striking out 1 in 5 innings.
