Week 5: Thursday Roundup

At age 34, Nick Markakis is on pace to have a career season. His hair-to-beard ratio isn't great, though.
STUDS: On a light day of NL action, you had to face the Mets if you wanted to make this list. NL hits leader Nick Markakis (FDD) was a triple short of a cycle, scored 3 runs, drove in 3 and walked. Julio Teheran (AL) got the win and struck out 6 in 7 shutout innings. He had a no-hitter for 6 innings, but the Mets ruined it just like they ruin everything else.

DUDS: Howie Kendrick (M) went 0 for 3 with an error. What else? Hmm... Jason Vargas (free agent) got shelled again but lowered his ERA to 16.20. Don't all rush to the waiver wire at once, fellas. Also, we have learned that bullpen Matt Harvey (free agent) stinks just as bad as rotation Matt Harvey.

SMOOTH: We can't help it; we really like watching Ronald Acuña swing the bat. See below.
