Week 5: Wednesday Roundup

This goofy-looking lefty shut down the LOL Mets.
Studs: Bryce Harper (AL) seems to be enjoying batting leadoff. He was a triple shy of the cycle, stole a base and drove in 3 runs Wednesday. The Stable Genius' pitching was great: Carlos Martinez  struck out 5 and allowed a run in a 7.1-inning win, and Sean Newcomb struck out 8 in 7 shutout innings. Ender Inciarte (BM) doubled, homered, scored twice and drove in 2. Stephen Strasburg (FDD) struck out 11 and allowed 2 runs in a 7-inning win. Gerardo Parra (M) had a single, 2 doubles, 2 runs and a steal. Nolan Arenado (PM) homered twice, doubled and drove in 5. Aaron Nola (PM) struck out 7 in a 7.1-inning shutout win.

Duds: The Stable Genius' defense was putrid: Jose Peraza, Christian Villanueva and Trea Turner all committed errors and ended with negative points. Willson Contreras (BM) walked twice and made 2 errors.

Leftist elitism: We rarely talk about gorgeous right-handed swings, so let's change that:
