Playoffs Week 2: Saturday Roundup

Matt Holliday makes a statement about the ending of the 2007 wild-card tiebreaker game.
Upon further review, Holliday is wrong.
STUDS: German Marquez (PYB) struck out 9 in 7 shutout innings but didn't get the win because the Colorado offense didn't wake up until Marquez was out of the game. Clayton Kershaw (M) fanned 9 and allowed 2 runs in 8 innings, but the win slipped away because he got Kenley-ed. Sorry, Rich; that's a thing now. Zack Wheeler (PM) stranded about 50 baserunners and didn't allow a run while striking out 4 in a 7-inning win. Jameson Taillon (PM) fanned 8 and allowed 1 run in a 6-inning win.

DUDS: Brad Boxberger (SG) allowed 2 runs to blow a save and struck out 1 in his 1 inning of work. Seranthony Dominguez (CB) recorded 2 outs and struck out 1, but he allowed 3 runs and took the loss. Jose Peraza (SG) and Lorenzo Cain (M) each singled and erred.

DISHONORABLE MENTION: Jonathan Villar (PM) started both ends of a doubleheader — including batting THIRD in one of the games for some reason — and went 0 for 9.
