Week 6: Tuesday Roundup

Justin Turner had 3 homers and 6 RBIs, both his best-ever totals for a single game.
STUDS: Caleb Smith (WLB) struck out 11 and allowed 2 runs in a 6.2-inning no-decision. Aaron Nola (HG) struck out 7 and allowed 1 run in a 6-inning win. Hyun-Jin Ryu (HG) tossed a 4-hit shutout with 6 strikeouts. Madison Bumgarner (AL) allowed 3 runs in 6 innings, striking out 8 in a win. Justin Turner (M) shook out the cobwebs, homering three times, adding a single and driving in 6 runs. Franmil Reyes (PM) homered, singled twice, scored twice and drove in 2. Bryce Harper (LCL) had a grand slam and added a single, walk and second run scored. Rhys Hoskins (LCL) homered, singled twice, doubled and scored 3 runs. Kris Bryant (FF) tripled, scored and hit a walk-off 3-run homer.

DUDS: Eugenio Suarez (AL) walked and erred, because as we all know, you can't spell "Eugenio Suarez" without a handful of E's. Max Fried (R) finally stumbled, allowing 4 earned runs and striking out 1 in a 1-inning loss and getting hit in the hand by a line drive. Paul Goldschmidt (M) went 0-fer with an error. Jason Heyward (YA) walked an erred. Adam (owner of YA) left Pete Alonso (10) and Ian Desmond (8) on the bench while his active offense scored 6.5 points. Been there, man.

Mike Fiers now has 2 more career no-hitters than Pedro Martinez, Greg Maddux and Roger Clemens combined.
