Kenley Jansen (SG) picked up his first save of the season — well done, Dodgers — by striking out the side in an inning of work. Sean Newcomb (R) picked up the win and struck out 9 in 6 shutout, walk-free innings. Jose Quintana (CB) didn't allow a run and fanned 6 in a 6-inning win. Jameson Taillon (PM) went the distance to shut out the Reds and struck out 7. Did we mention it was a 1-hitter and that the hit came from pitcher Tyler Mahle?
DUDS: The Reds are trash.
