Week 18: Monday's report

Fortunately for Aroldis Chapman, blowing a save isn't a crime.
Though Tim might think otherwise, especially since it cost
Mike Leake a win and therefore was a double-whammy for
the Arbitration Losers.
STUDS: Daniel Murphy (Test. Braun) had 2 hits, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and a stolen base. Andrelton Simmons (Test. Braun) had 3 hits, including a double and a walkoff triple, and 2 RBIs. Carlos Gonzalez (PYB) returned after missing a few games and went 5 for 5 with a run, 2 RBIs, 2 steals and a caught stealing. Francisco Liriano (Misfits) continued to dominate, striking out 8 and allowing 1 earned run in a 7-inning win against the best offense in the league.

DUDS: Aroldis Chapman owns this category today in spectacular fashion. He came in with a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 9th inning against the Padres, walked Yonder Alonso and then gave up a pinch-hit, walkoff homer to Chris Denorfia and his giant nose. That's good for a minus-5 for the Cuban Missile.

NOTE: Manwaring a Muumuu places a conditional DL move on Carlos Quentin and his ever-balky knee. Denard Span would replace him in the lineup.

Head-to-head scores

Silver State Sagebrushers 30, Arbitration Losers 16
Lawyers, Guns & Money 13, Fresh Fish 12
Misfits 26, Rookies 21
Testosteraun Braun 22, Manwaring a Muumuu 9
Going Going Gonzo 44, Pitch You Blockhead 16
