Week 18: Thursday's report

Justin Upton is hitting like it's April again.
STUDS: Julio Teheran (Braun) struck out 11 Rockies (well, there was no Cargo and no Cuddyer, and Tulo got tossed, but STILL) and allowed 1 run in a 5-inning win. He also singled, doubled, scored a run and had an RBI. Justin Upton (SSS) hit a 3-run homer and a 2-run homer. Anthony Rizzo (LGM) hit 2 solo homers. Matt Cain (Fish) allowed 1 run and struck out 7 in an 8-inning win.

DUDS: Pedro Alvarez (LGM) went 0 for 3 and made his 20th error of the season. Jonathan Papelbon (PYB) blew a save, took the loss and allowed 2 runs in 1 inning. He also cost Cole Hamels a victory, so it was a double whammy for PYB.

TRANSACTION: Lawyers, Guns & Money places ESPN's favorite son, Yadier Molina, on the DL and re-acquires Wilson Ramos to take his place in the lineup.
