Week 18: Wednesday's report

This man stole 2 bases and avoided getting hit in the
groin with a fly ball. Shocking, right?
STUDS: Homer Bailey (Fish) allowed 1 unearned run and struck out 7 in an 8.1-inning win (good job, Padres!). Freddie Freeman (Misfits) had 4 singles, 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Mike Minor (Muumuu) singled, scored and shut down the Road Rox. He struck out 6 in 7 shutout innings to earn the win. Matt Holliday (AL) had 3 singles, 2 RBIs, 2 steals and a run.

DUDS: The Misfits dumped Kyle Kendrick just in time. The Phillies' righty took the loss, allowed 7 runs (6 of them earned) and struck out zero Giants in 2 brutal innings. Gio Gonzalez (Rookies) got roughed up to the tune of 10 runs and a loss to Detroit. He struck out 3 in 3.1 innings. Mark Ellis (LGM) was a roto nightmare, starting the game on the bench and coming on as a defensive replacement — just in time to make an error as LGM teammate Yasiel Puig nearly crashed into him on a popup.

Head-to-head scores

Silver State Sagebrushers 80, Arbitration Losers 56
Fresh Fish 64, Lawyers, Guns & Money 63
Misfits 103, Rookies 60
