Week 18: Friday's report

Cody Ross seemed extra motivated against the Red Sox.
STUDS: Cody Ross (Fish) punished his former team, recording a homer, 2 doubles, a single, a steal, 3 RBIs and 2 runs. Jose Fernandez (AL) dominated again, striking out 14 Indians and allowing no runs in an 8-inning win. He also had a sacrifice fly. Madison Bumgarner (Braun) allowed 1 run and struck out 11 in a 7-inning win. Allen Craig (AL) homered, singled twice, drove in 3 and scored 3 runs. Brandon Belt (SSS) was a double shy of the cycle, drove in 2 and scored twice.

DUDS: Travis Wood (PYB) was a mess, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits and 5 walks with 2 strikeouts in a 3.1-inning loss. Bronson Arroyo (Rookies) allowed 7 runs and struck out 5 in a 3.2-inning loss. Didi Gregorius (free agent) hauled in the prestigious Pedro Alvarez Award, going 0 for 4 with 4 strikeouts and an error.
