Week 14: Friday Roundup

Urge to kill ... rising.
STUDS: Rhys Hoskins (CB) went 3 for 5 with a double, 3 RBIs, 2 runs and 2 walks. Nice job by Pittsburgh to limit him to 7 plate appearances. Freddy Peralta (BM) struck out 6 and allowed 1 run in a 6-inning win. Odubel Herrera (SG) homered, singled, drove in 4, scored twice and walked. Jesus Aguilar (SG) was a triple short of a cycle — as if — and drove in 3.

DUDS: Kenley Jansen (CB) struck out 1 in 0.2 inning, but he allowed 2 runs — 1 earned — while blowing a save and taking the loss. Trevor Williams (R) got smacked around by Philly, allowing 5 runs in a 2.1-inning loss without a single whiff. J.T. Realmuto (AL) and Max Muncy (M) each committed an error. Christian Yelich (M) scored and erred. Nolan Arenado (PM) singled and erred. Yasmani Grandal (PYB) walked and erred.

DEGROM MURDEROUS RAMPAGE WATCH: Jacob deGrom (FDD) posted 15 points by striking out 8 Rays and allowing 1 run in 8 innings, but the Mets offense waited until deGrom was out of the game to get anything done. Since May 18, the Mets' ace has allowed 13 runs in 9 starts and has gone 1-4. On the season, he is 5-4 with a major-league-best 1.79 ERA. The Mets are just the worst.

THANKS, ESPN: Did anyone besides the commissioners get screwed by ESPN's fantasy site going down right before Friday's games started? The Fasanos, who are locked in a tight battle with PYB (they're tied 145.5-145.5), lost out on 8 points from Carlos Santana and 0.5 point from Brian Anderson because they couldn't add them to the FDD lineup. You suck, technology.
