| We're not any more comfortable with happy Mets pictures than you are. |

"You see, first you put the pasta on the plate, and THEN you dump sauce on it. Twice." |
STUDS: Michael Conforto (PYB) was one of many Mets to have a nice day as the Phillies rolled over and played dead. Conforto had a homer, 2 doubles, 3 singles, 3 runs and 5 RBIs in the doubleheader. Of course, for Mets to show up here, they actually have to be on someone's roster, so.... it's just you, big Mike. Jon Lester (AL) earned his first win in a month, striking out 8 in 6 shutout innings. Clay Buchholz (BM) threw a COMPLETE GAME WITH SIX STRIKEOUTS AND ONLY ONE RUN ALLOWED AND WHO DID HE FACE, A HIGH SCHOOL JV TEAM? Cesar Hernandez (CB) doubled, singled, walked twice, stole a base and scored 3 runs. Rhys Hoskins (CB) homered twice, singled, and drove in 4.
DUDS: Matt Carpenter (AL) walked twice and made an error. Perhaps an homage to Adam Dunn? He's sure been swinging like Dunn lately (we mean that as a compliment, even if you could take it another way). Luke Weaver (CB) struck out 1 and allowed 2 runs in a 3.2-inning loss.
