Week 10: Wednesday Roundup

St. Louis pitching was so bad on Wednesday that manager Mike Matheny yanked catcher Yadier Molina.
You expect better defense than that from a guy with a career OPS+ that's below league average.
These are the current Marlins, right?
We really can't tell.
STUDS: Tim made Rick jealous by getting a couple of Marlins on this list. J.T. Realmuto (AL) went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a triple, an RBI and 2 runs. Derek Dietrich (AL) went 4 for 5 with a homer, 3 RBIs and 2 runs. Not to be outdone, Starlin Castro (BM) was the third Marlin hitter to have a 10-point day. Castro went 4 for 6 with 3 doubles and 3 runs. The resurgence of Paul Goldschmidt (CB) continued, with the Arizona slugger going 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, 2 RBIs and a run. Speaking of resurgences, we're starting to believe this Matt Kemp thing might be for real. Kemp (FF) homered, doubled twice, drove in 5, scored 3 runs and walked.

DUDS: Yadier Molina (M bench) gets all the credit when Cardinals pitchers are good, so we're giving him all the blame when they suck. Molina went 0 for 3, and St. Louis pitchers allowed 11 runs and 17 hits, 10 of which went for extra bases (6 doubles, 3 homers and a triple). Brandon Morrow (FDD) allowed a 2-run homer in a tie game but avoided taking the loss because Jason Heyward — remember him? — won the game with a grand slam. Morrow pitched 0.1 inning with 1 strikeout and still took a minus-0.7. Jeurys Familia (PM) posted a minus-3, and it wasn't even in one of Jacob deGrom's starts! Familia pitched 1 inning and allowed the only run of the game, which was enough to hand Baltimore a win. D.J. LeMahieu (AL) went 0 for 5 with an error. Jorge Alfaro (SG) went 0 for 3 with an error. Maikel Franco (FF) went 0 for 2 with an error.

OOPS: Scott missed out on a huge day from Anthony Rendon (PYB) because he had Rendon on the bench in favor of Wilmer Difo. Rendon went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 4 RBIs and 3 runs. Sorry, Scott.
