Week 9: Sunday Roundup

Michael Wacha is 7-1 with an ERA of 2.41. Raise your hand if you saw that coming.
Hey, ladies! Lou Gehrig just got your gal pregnant
using nothing more than his smile and those dimples.
STUDS: Michael Wacha (AL) took a no-hitter into the 9th inning but couldn't finish the job. He struck out 8 in 8 shutout innings and got the win. Jon Lester (AL) took advantage of a Mets team that couldn't hit water if it fell out of a boat. Lester fanned 7 and picked up the win in 7 shutout innings.

DUDS: Wade Davis (M) struck out 1 in an inning of work, but he allowed 3 runs and took the loss. Billy Hamilton (PYB) walked and was caught stealing. Tanner Roark (BM) took one for the team, pitching in relief after the early departure of Jeremy Hellickson. Roark retired 1 batter before serving up the game-winning 2-run homer to Mr. Clutch himself, Charlie Culberson.
