This is the body language of a man who just allowed a home run to a Met. Voiceover: It wouldn't be the only homer he would allow on this day. |

In our scientific poll of single ladies, 50 percent preferred young Ken Phelps and 50 percent preferred old Ken Phelps. |
SATURDAY DUDS: None. Not even the Mets, who actually won a game.
SUNDAY STUDS: Justin Bour (FF) hit a solo homer and a 3-run homer against the Orioles, who are the American League version of the Mets. Maikel Franco (FF) had a 2-run homer and a 2-run single, and walked. Gregory Polanco (M) was a triple short of a cycle, scored twice, drove in 2 and walked. Brandon Nimmo (CB) duplicated Polanco's output minus the walk. Odubel Herrera (CB) was a triple short of a cycle, walked and scored 3 runs.
SUNDAY DUDS: Wade Davis (M) had a remarkable outing in Texas, throwing 38 pitches (only 15 of them for strikes), retiring 1 batter and posting a score of minus-7.7. Davis entered with a 3-run lead; the inning went walk, steal, walk, flyout, single, RBI walk, RBI walk, 2-run single. Brad Boxberger (SG) was slightly more effective, posting a minus-5.3. Boxberger struck out 2 but allowed 2 homers and 4 runs, blew the save and took the loss. Did we mention this occurred against the METS? Addison Russell (AL) walked and erred.
