Week 12: Monday Roundup

The look of pure jealousy on Jordy Mercer's face makes this picture of Flying Josh Harrison so much better.
STUDS: Jacob deGrom (FDD) struck out 7 and allowed 1 earned run in an 8-inning win as the Mets offense finally came through for him. Nick Pivetta (FDD) struck out a ridiculous 13 in 7.1 innings, allowing 2 runs and leaving with a 2-run lead before the Phillies bullpen did its best Mets impression. So an 18.3-point no-decision for the big Italian. Brandon Nimmo (CB) was a big part of the Mets offensive success, homering twice, singling twice and driving in 4. Trevor Williams (R) struck out 7 in a 7-inning shutout win. Yadier Molina (M) was a triple (LOL) shy of the cycle and scored twice.

DUD: Hunter Strickland (FF) barfed all over the field (figuratively), allowing 3 runs, blowing the save and taking the loss. Any day when the Giants closer is the lone Dud... that's a good day.

IS THAT A METAPHOR? The Cubs lost all their power Monday, with the outage leading to the postponement of the Dodgers-Cubs. They'll play a doubleheader today, God-willing.

BAD PITCH LOCATION?
