Week 2: Sunday Roundup

Happy Jackie Robinson Day, everyone!
Only two Padres have ever hit for the cycle. You're lying
if you say you knew they are Matt Kemp and Wil Myers.
STUDS: Jose Pirela (PYB) was a homer shy of a cycle, drove in 3, scored 3 runs and stole a base. Noah Syndergaard (BM) struck out 11 in 5.1 innings but made the mistake of allowing an unearned run, so he didn't get the win because LOL Mets. Jeurys Familia (PM) was the Met who picked up the win after fanning 2 in a scoreless inning. Josh Bell (PM) went 3 for 5 with a double, a run and 3 RBIs. Starling Marte (SG) went 5 for 5 with a solo homer and 4 runs scored. Chris Taylor (FDD) homered, doubled and drove in 3. Charlie Blackmon (PYB) homered, doubled, scored twice and drove in 3. Carlos Martinez (SG) got the win and struck out 11 in 7 scoreless innings. Ivan Nova (CB) allowed 3 runs but struck out 9 Marlins — this is on YOU, Jetes — in a 6.2-inning win. Clayton Kershaw (M) finally got in the win column by striking out 12 and allowing only 1 run in 7 innings.

DUDS: Zack Godley (FDD) couldn't find the plate in Los Angeles, walking 6 in a 4-inning loss. He allowed 5 earned runs and struck out 4. Sean Doolittle (BM) struck out the side but allowed a run and took the loss. Jonathan Villar (PM) went 0 for 3 with 2 Ks, 2 walks and an error. Chris Iannetta (FDD) and Joe Panik (SG bench) each went 0 for 4 with an error.

WEATHER: The Cubs/Braves game was postponed because Chicago weather is stupid.
